I became a founding member of REMBA because Jake asked me to…
Actually I’ve been fortunate to have been involved with REMBA for several months now, and can tell you the enthusiasm and vision that’s been assembled so far is incredibly contagious. Missing an opportunity like this, to join forces with like-minded, intelligent, passionate mountain bikers who don’t just want to go ride their bikes, but advocate for our right to ride, and help make certain that as decisions are being made regarding the future of our current parks, as well as open spaces and parks of the future, mountain bike trails are included in that process. Only way to ensure that happens is to have a seat at the table, with hundreds (if not thousands) of folks behind that seat, standing in support. Mountain bikers can be aloof and singular for sure, but we will need to stand together if we want our voices heard, and REMBA is our best opportunity moving forward. So do what I have done, become a Founding Member. Stand up for what you believe in, be part of the process, not just a bystander. There might be a beer or two in it for ya.
