Greetings Mountain Bikers of the Redwood Empire!
We are very excited to announce that we are going to be building a pumptrack at the upcoming AT’s Showdown freeride mountain bike contest on April 9th at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. The event is being hosted by Andrew Taylor and he is inviting all of the world’s top freeride mountain bikers to compete. Andrew really wanted something at the event that all the attendees could enjoy so he asked REMBA to join him in constructing a temporary pumptrack for the event! The beauty of this is that we will be building a permanent pumptrack of the same design in Northwest Park in Santa Rosa in the weeks following the event. This will allow us to fine tune our design for the permanent pumptrack and give us a great opportunity to promote the project as well. THE ASK: Help us build the temporary pumptrack on 4/6-4/8. We will be building the pumptrack while Andrew and his build crew are working on the jump line. Wednesday will be mostly heavy equipment work but Thursday, Friday and even Saturday morning will be great times for volunteers to help build, ride, and repair the track so it is running perfectly for the event on Saturday afternoon. The hours for the build days aren’t set in stone yet but we will be working all day and into the evening. Plenty of time to help after you get off of work or out of school. If you are interested in helping please fill out the contact form below. In the comment section let us know what days and times you can help. Lastly here is one of our favorite pumptrack videos to get you “pumped” up for this great building opportunity and great event!
